Re: how do you remove these pieces? (idriveadelsol7)
i just removed mine this past week for some body work. its not that big of a deal. first thing you need to do is take off the brake light. there is two clips on the outside edge of the light, pry them out ( be careful, they are very brittle) and remove the screws for the brake light. those are the only screws holding the top section on, the rest are clips and should pop off with a little force ( start outside edges and work in toards center). the side peices are only held on by two scews. there is one at the bottom ( you need to open your trunk to get too) and one on the top that should be exposed now that you took the top section off. after the two screws are out there are only 3 clips holding it on and should pop off with a little fource ( start at to the top). that should do it for you.
what do you need to remove them for?

good deal, that was the same reason i was taking mine off, but it doesnt give any better acess to the antenna area like i thaught it would.
i layed a couple layers fiberglass on the back side of the hole and then just used body filler to flush it up. it came out looking good and wasn't a bad project.
i still dont know what antenna to use now, someone said about an internal antenna from an accord would work best.
good luck with the project.

the only access to the antenna that i have found was through the trunk. that is how i removed mine. got a few scratches in the process but it is in there tie strapped to a suport bracket and the $15 honda cover over it till i can close the hole permanently

Heres the same how-to I ussed it gives the part numbers for the clips that you should replace as well since your taking them off.

Also use MsPaint to resize if you use windows, open the picture with paint then goto Image then Strech/scew and then resize it acordinly I normally go 80% untill I get it the way I like it.
