Searched but can't use "lip" or "hold".

This is for a friend of mine, he's having trouble using the double sided tape to hold the lip up. It's starting to fall off. Anybody know a clean way to hold it up?

well if you have a gay aftermarket lip then you can use self tapping screws in conjunction with 3M dbl sided tape. just clean off the bumper well with rubbing alcohol to make sure the tape can stick to it. I used it on my buddy's WRX and it holds like a champ. he's bashed driveways with the lip, and no sign of letting go. or if you have an OEM lip like me it comes with clips and screws and NO tape is needed.

What type of lip?

My bumper has little spots that i could put a bolt in for a lip (i dont have a lip though). You could look for those.

Also you could drill the bottom closer to the front and put a bolt and nut there to hold it up.

Finally if its still coming off and you NEVER want to change that lip then you could go to Home Depot and pick up some eproxy and spray that **** on there. It will never come off after that drys.

Use 3m double sided tape all around the inside of that lip then use floorjacks on both sides even in the center to hold the lip up then put your screws on the side of the lip that contacts the back of the front bumper

avoid using tape if you can if you have mounting tabs on your lip use them in conjuction with you holes in the bumper.you may have to drill some holes but it will stay on the car alot better than tape.
