How many civics have swapped or built their sohc engine?

The ones who haven't are at a big disadvantage.

The SI isn't really all that fast either, since they are almost as heavy as Tegs.

Gearing might play into that also. Depends on the Civic.
I know my hatch is geared like crap.

Although you said they have B18 Swaps? they should have their tranny too.
They shouldn't lose.

Well if they have b18s in their civics...I guess it's driver error that's makin em lose.

Yup. GSR for example have lower gears than non-GSR, except for ITR. The Civic is geared like a economy car. So the the advantage will go to the Integra.

i don't know what you talking about.
I've seen civics kill integras. (hybirds ofcourse)

sohc civics can't beat integras, we all know that.

You know there was a time when a guy had b16 in his 98 ex.
and a 94 ls. I bleave the ls had head job.
The ls integra killed the civic. (i was surprised) but than he had head job done

FYI I kicked more than a couple Integra asses in my SOHC...before turbo. I guess we all don't "know" that

i was refering to a stock engine.

BTW what modifications had you done to your car before you boosted it.

This would be on my stock engine

All I had was an AEM CAI and DC header, stock exhaust

correct me if i'm wrong but, how is a engine going to be stock if you had cold air intake and headers.

The engine was and still is stock, those are just bolt-ons, I was (and thought you were) referring to internals within the block or head.

Hey, around here i/h/e is still stock to most. When we say "stock motor" we mean stock head and block.

As for the Integras beating Civic? Drivers can make a 14.3 second car run a 15.8!

I have never been beaten by an Integra that had the same engine and mods as me - the weight is simply too much for them to overcome, but then again, if I sucked at driving then I guess they *could* beat me then

FYI: not bragging here, but when I had a GS-R swap in my Si hatchback I never lost to GS-R or Type Rs that had just bolt-ons. The Type R weighs 2600lbs. and the GS-R is like 2659lbs. or so I think.

Modded the SAME, a 2200lb. car will beat the 2600lb. car with equal drivers - it's that simple.

BTW:we're talking strictly drag here, right?

in NJ theres more integras at the races than civics.
and alot of them are faster than your everyday civic.

civics ain't **** til u get a swap. the potential of an integra is larger than
a civic cause it starts with a Bseries engine already.

Default gsr civic vs gsr teg

I have a friend with a Teg that has the same mods as me. He's a 98 GSR with JDM DC headers, test pipe, custom exhaust, and the same muffler as me. Plus he's got an AEM just like me...the only difference is that I have a hatch, and he has his fully bodied teg...

Now here's the difference between him and me. 14.1@99mph vs. 15.25@93mph

Because Civics have worse handling, smaller engines, and no matter what you do to them, they will always be slower than integra's. Integra's rule!! Peace out

Oh ****! Really? So I guess the 1999-2000 Civic Si starts off with a D-series motor then?

Oh, and the Integra also starts off with a MUCH higher pricetag in the used car market too. For the huge price difference a Civic owner will get a swap. And most of us here don't drive "your every day Civic."

people like to defend their rides, its all good.

but a civic is a civic.
an integra is an integra.

to me theres a big difference in style and pretige in the two. (integra civic) about 6 grand.

whereas a civic hatchback will go with a engine swap, interior swap, suspension swap ect....

dont' hate me cause i dont' like hybrids.

Oh ****! Really? So I guess the 1999-2000 Civic Si starts off with a D-series motor then?
guess what an SI is... a Slow Integra
SI's are the worsts hate them the most.

if i were to build a honda race car i'd use a civic.

*edit* reason for not liking them, STOLEN PARTS. nuff said. hate em.
