Default How do i take out my oem speakers?

I just bought a 96 ek coupe and the rear 6x9's are blown, so i wanted to replace them and looked but i didnt see how to get to them. I see three plastic circles on the top of the panel so im assuming those are clips. But not im not sure and i dont want to brake them. So if someone can help me please do. Thanks

Those are clips that have a death grip. Wrap a scewdriver with tape (to protect the panels) and pop them off.

You will have to take that whole rear deck lid off to get to the speakers.

Take the engine out first, LOL! That was sooo funny I just knew this should be the first thread I replied to here. Thanks for the laugh. Good luck getting the speakers out, its no fun. I really liked the idea about using tape on a screwdriver.
