How Do I Remove These Bushings? (pics)
Hey,
I recently purchased an Energy Suspension Hyperflex bushing kit. I've pushed in the front and rear lca bushings but I need to push these bushings out.

How can I do it without ruining the bracket or bushing? Or will I have to ruin the bushing to get it out.
Thanks.

Yes, that's how you get it off the arm. But then I need to get the bushing out of the bracket. That's what I'm asking about.

That's not entirely true. For my lca's I pressed new ones back in with a big *** vice from home-depot. I did need a press to get them out though.
I think I'll be able to press these ones back in with a vice but I was just wondering if any of you had a good tip or trick to get them out.

I normally grease up my bushings before I press them out. makes it alot easier.

a vice is essentially a type of press, mechanically speaking...

Re: How Do I Remove These Bushings? (litterbox)
i did my rear LCA bushings the redneck ohio way. i used a hacksaw to cut through the bushing from the inside out on one side and then used a punch and a BFH (big f*cking hammer) to pound it out. take the hack saw blade loose, then stick it through the hole in the bushing and re-attach it to the hack saw and cut away. i also lightly sanded the area where the new bushing slides into to ease installation. yeehaw!

It's not cheap. Every shop I went to wanted $100 to do the lca bushings. I was told it was cheap on HT before I went to check out actual pricing. Most people on here will tell you it's cheap, I guess it's because they haven't actually done it.

Re: (DelSolDon)
take the bolt off. and they will come right out i did mines those were the easiest out of all of them.
if not use a utility knife cut a few chunks off the edges and slide them out. a press is not required you can push them out with your hand.
just use a knife or a hack saw cut the edges of the rubber off and they will pretty much push right out. thats how i did mines.
to put the new ones in put them in a vice and tighten and it will press right in. use some wd40 if you want to ease it in.

Well I was going to try and preserve these bushings but it looks like that won't happen so I'll cut them and press them out.

Well because I'm not sure if the new ES ones will fit properly, I had to return a kit because they were too loose. Then they replaced it with the same kit for the same car, and they now fit.

One more thing, do these bushings run the risk of squeaking like the lca ones? I'll grease the hell out of them, one way or the other, but I'd like to know.
