How do I know if my brake pads are going?
I have a 93 Civic Si Hatchback... I'm wondering how would I know when the brake pads are going? Also, since I have disc brakes all around, would I need to change all four pads (if there is four pads all around)?

take your wheels off and look at them...if the pad is at the same size or lower than the backing plate, then you should concider getting new pads

As the pads wear out, the slave cylinders hold more fluid, to take up the slack. That's one of the biggest reason for never re-filling the master cylinder. If you've been adding fluid as the pads have worn, then you'll have to do a visual on the pads themselves. And, make sure you drain the extra fluid out of your master cylinder reservoir before replacing the pads or it'll squirt out all over your firewall, et cetera.
