Default How do I install an OEM strut brace on an EM1?

I had to remove the OEM brace when doing some work under the hood but I cannot get it back on; the stud holes don't line up. Yes, it's going on the right way, and I couldn't find anything on installation in the Helms manual. What's the trick to getting this thing to settle over all four studs?

is the car jacked up? i have run across this problem before where i had a EM1 jacked up and the bolts didn't line up w/the bar. this is caused when the body had flexed making hard for the install.

No it's not jacked up. Actually, I had wondered before if jacking the car up might help. Ugh, I just want my strut brace back on.

I'd hate to bump but someone has got to have the answer. Anybody?

You may need to jack up the car to take the stress off the towers.

That was my original thinking until philosofy1 caused me to question how sensical it was. Alright, I'll try it.
