how do i fix valve knock on d16z6
last year #2 rod shot out the side on my d16 so i replaced the block with a d15b7 since the head looked fine at the time and after installing it i check compression and #2 had no compression so i dump some oil down the spark plug hole to see if maybe the rings were bad but their not so i pulled the head off and seen the intake valves were bent on #2 ( don't know how i missed it the first time ) so i replaced the valves myself and installed the head and adjusted valve lash to make sure but now their is valve knocking coming from the intake side and it sounds like its coming from #2. any ideas why?

idk they looked fine, when i took the old ones off i put oil on the new ones and slide them in the valve guide and it went smooth i had to keep my finger on it to keep it from sliding out and that was the same with the other intake valve.

Check the mechanical timing on the cams... one cam may be off a tooth... Also, your old head gasket could have been thicker on the z6 block due to a mill job...
