How do I do the RHD conversion???? Did do Search
I'm about to buy a RHD SIR II front clip.... what would be the best way to do the conversion and how exactly is it done. I know you can either chop the car and weld the clip together or knock out the firewall. But how exactly is the firewall swap done and what all needs to be swapped. Reason for doing the RHD its coming with the motor for a good price

You need to drill out the welds on the firewall, swap them retach it and insert RHD drivetrain parts (basic jest of it, there is more to it though). DO NOT cut the front off you USDM car and try to weld the JDM clip to it.

Re: (daklown)
its dumb but youll prob have an easier time chopping the floorboard and window pillar and welding it there, thats if you can cut them perfectly straight and even on both cars (your car and the clip) then figuring out how to hold them in place together while your welding

well i got the hatch shell for 400 dollars and the front clip im getting for about 2000 complete with the motor and everything so it would probably come out cheaper to do the work instead of importing the car. If i knew a place that imported the car i would have bought the whole car but the place i found only carried front clips. but whats so fun about buying the whole car. If You liked working on cars the work doesnt really matter I really enjoying working on cars so it really doesnt bother me putting the time out. Just wasting time is the problem. If yall know any places that sells the whole car I open to find out where. I live in TX so if you guys can find a place in tx that sells the whole i probably would buy it other than imma do the conversion!

My friend recently did a RHD 240 conversion. He just bought an S13 clip and had this redneck who clips Saturns clip on the front end. He's been driving it a few months and hasn't had any problems.

do it like that and your asking for problems.
a whole mess of allignment and stearing, and it wont
be very strong either. Do it right, and you will only
have to do it once. Put the rhd fire wall on you car.
Really, if the firewall is in good shape, dont mess with it.
Its really not worth it, its not that origional anymore.
Even some *** in my town has a rhd 300zx. I was thinking
about doing the swap, but I have everything I need, and a
shell that has a busted up firewall, but still dont think im
going to waste my time with that mess.

Re: (Rspec CX)
I agree though I would not waste the time to swap your car out to make it RHD that would be just WAY too much work. In fact we just cut up and threw away a dc2 ITR front clip after we got the body parts we wanted off of it. Probably could have sold that for some money but oh well......

I would hope it would be more involved then just welding 4, 3"
pices of steel together. If not, dont know if I would want to be
in the thing. And a limo isnt going to take near the abuse that a
car would, especially a honda.
Im sure it would be "okay" to do, but just very ghetto.

They cut up the car, and put it on this frame system, and weld lots of sheet metal.
I've seen it done to 4 Nav.
Best way is to do the firewall swap and swap all the parts over. But you will still need to swap over your trunk/gas latch, roof antenna to right side, and buy RHD doors (right driver, left passanger)
Other then that, its a waste of time.
Importing a RHD eg is like 4-6k.
