Here is a how-to I found on Sea Foam. Just run a search on "sea foam" in the archives and you'll get a bunch of results from that. Thats where I found this at.

I'm not sure you want to use Simple Green inside the throttle body and intake manifold. I'd use that just to clean the OUTSIDE of the motor and firewall.

quick question.

When you use Sea Foam and it "flushes" all the carbon build up and that out of the exhaust, is there a risk of that stuff getting stuck in the cat and clogging it? I just put a new cat and cat-back exhaust on my car and I don't want to mess it up with all this carbon build up going through it. Sorry if this is a stupid question. TIA

oh, I went to autzone and they didn't have it. I'll have to try NAPA and other car parts stores today.

It shouldn't clog it. It'll break it up into tiny pieces and maybe burn up. They'll probably get so small it'll blow right out of the exhuast system.

BTW, Pep Boys, AutoZone nor Oreilys has it. Only place I found it at was Advance Auto Parts.

ok, sounds good, thanks for the reply. I just don't want to clean one thing and clog another. I'll be getting rid of the motor anyway, just want to keep it running smooth, but I'll be keeping the exhaust the way it is.

I went to NAPA and they carry it but were all out. I'll either try Advance Auto Parts or just wait until NAPA gets them back in stock.

. and i put some in gas tank. i also used tranny tune made by the same people.
while im driving about an hour later. my car gets really loud(like when my exhaust fell off) and it has been that way scince. does anyone konw what could have happened. i suspect the cat converter went "dead" or something. but my car sounds like ****. has alot more pep though.
