how can i push caliper piston back in?

yea im thinking that skinny piece of metal behind the rotor is rubbing against it ... should i just go in there n try to bend it away from the rotor?

Yup just bend it back so its not hitting the rotor.

well i figured out what the noise was ... the bottom retaining clip on my caliper bracket was rubbing against my rotor ... i took it off bent it to fit better onto the caliper bracket and then put back on pads, rotor n caliper ... nice n quiet now to rebleed ... ill do that manana

can ur rotors get damaged like that? it's not on the actual surface of the rotor but it's the outer edge of it ... seems to me like they'd become weakerand have a smaller radius / diameter after time

I would suggest using a c-clamp and using the old brake pad over the piston to press it back in for the simple reason that you want the piston to go in nice and even, using channel locks could **** the piston slightly and cause damage to the caliper. Might take a few seconds longer to use the c-clamp but seems a bit faster than changing out calipers. Just my .02.
