Re: SOHC D16Y8
I went intake, header and exhaust and never really felt anything. If anything I only IMAGINED I felt any power increase but I did feel lighter in the wallet (unless you go the Ebay no-name route). Don't waste your money.
And the question is lame because someone asks nearly the same question at least every other week and they get the same answers.
Here's the last time this question was asked.

Intake, header, exhaust may add 10hp, but it's a damn expensive 10hp that you will never feel. You can take two identical cars next to each other, and I doubt there's anyone can tell the one with 10 extra horses.
What I did notice when I went back to stock intake, was the throttle response. I never really noticed any hp gains, but going back to stock throttle response was a big shock. I actually stalled the car a few times due to the lag of the motor.

but to answer your question buy a skunk2 intake manifold. 10hp is easy to achieve but you spend too much and can never really tell. save your money and swap it

I/h/e won't even make 10hp on a dang single cam lol it ain't worth spending the grand you'll spend on quality I/h/e or even the 300 you'll spend doing eBay I/h/e. Get a swap or if u insist on sticking with ur single cam boost it IMO. Oh and u don't feel 10hp even at high rpm. That 10hp does make quite a diff but not enuff 4 u 2 feel it..

Spending hundreds on bolt ons for a d-series is only going to shift the powerband. It will feel faster. But you're still driving an econobox designed to take grandma to the grocery store.

what motor do you have ? and if its a non vtec you can put a vtec head
also if it only has two injectors you can convert it
i/h/e with cams intake manifold and a b series tb would be good

N/A D-Series is pointless...
Get a B and call it a day man...
You'll have the advantage of dual cams, and tuning possibilities are endless for N/A b series.
