Default How accurate is a G-tech?

It was a nice day ,so me and a buddy decided to gtech my car.My car- 92 civic eg vx.
Mods:B16a2swap,Aem short ram intake and a custom exhaust.I just had 2 pulls.The first was a 15.2 @ i believe 88mph and the 2nd was a 15.0 @91.Im not a bad driver,but when i take it to the track in a few weeks I was expecting a mid 14 atleast.Is it still possible to hit a mid 14?

G-tech sucks and is inaccurate. Yes if you can pull off a 2.2 60ft then a 14.5-14.7 should be attainable with those mods (depending on track elevation)

A guy I know swore his car was running in the low 13's...Tiburon w/juice and the g-tech. I finally talked this guy to run at the drags with us and he pulled consistent high 15's like 15.9. Once the Nawz emptied he ran 17.9/s.

He hasn't ever gone back to the track with us.

Remember now Im at 4800 elevation so it adds almost a sec to the quarter, .9 seconds to be more exact.

I dunno, i've used my freinds g-tech pro (the new one) and the 1/4 time is always within ~.02 seconds of what i ran at the track. But the mph reads a little to high.

Worst part about it is that you need a flat level 1/4 mile long patch of road to get some decent readings (which I don't feel it does anyway). If you're going to go through the trouble of finding that, just go to the track. Plus, I trap at 100mph in the 1/4. There are no open roads that going 100mph on is acceptable.

A guy i know had a jackson charged lude and it ran a 14.6 on the Gtech and ran a 14.4 at MIR w/ the lude. Another guy i know has a Oldmobile Cutlass and he ran a 9.8 at a 1/8th mile track and ran a 9.9 w/ the gtech i think it is pretty accurate we havn't had it in anything fast yet to see how it deals w/ wheelspin but we will see.

well i got mine for only 50 bucks new off ebay and i've liked fooling around with it...there isn't any tracks around here anywhere so we use this and compare it to the few times we driven 8 hours to the nearest track and it seems to be within 1-2 tenths off and about 2-3 mph too high usually.....

i was somewhat impressed with mine i must say, tho i've heard some ppl say they thought it's the biggest waste of money ever.......
