How to "service" rear brake drums?

Is there a particular way to do this? What needs to be greased?

if you have that drum spring tool then it'll be alot easier...
But if not it could be done with screw driver/needle nose...
basically just remember what goes where... Take out and put back in... R/R
No grease..

yeah you do have to grease the "shoe support pads" with high temperauture synthetic brake grease

unless the pad is worn out, you shouldn't need to do any service to them.

couple weeks ago i noticed everytime i let off the brake my passengers side rear drum would squeek. pulled off the housing and there was a grip of dust in it. sprayed with brake cleaner...no more squeek.
