Hondata or PowerFC
Hi guys...
I've been contemplating replacing my Spoon N1 ECU with a reprogrammable one, maybe Apexi Power FC or Hondata Stage2/Stage3(depending on cost). Has anyone here had any experience with either ECU and their progammability, compatibility, easy tuning and stuff like that. I am open to suggestions and plz remember im on a budget. If i get either ECU i will be selling my Spoon and im hoping to get at least $1000AUD (approx $500US) for it.
The purpose of the new ECU would be so i can adjust ignition timing and a/f ratios so i can maximise output of the Camshafts i have installed. Currently the Spoon N1 (although claimed self learning) is running very rich because of issues with fuel (ie designed to run on 100RON where Australia only has max 98RON).
I've looked on both companies websites and found they just bullshit about their products.
Any first hand information regarding these products would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys

Re: Hondata or PowerFC (ek9type-R)
from what i heard power fc is prolly better overall with features and what not than a hondata stage 2/3 but a lot of people have hondatas and they say they're easier to tune and since a lot of people have them the help is there if something goes wrong. Power FC on the other hand is not quite so prevelant. If you have a reputable shop that can tune it then go for it. Otherwise I'd go hondata.
