Default Honda optional audio console for 92-95 civic

Just ordered one, but it states that its exclusively for the honda optional CD player. I know I have seen pics of cars that have aftermarket CD players mounted in this lower console, but what is necessary for me to do this?

I imagine the same thing as any install; the adapter kit from like bestbuy, or circuit city, etc.

You'll want to get a wire harness from Bestbuy. It will work fine.

Yup. Where did you buy it? How much did it cost? The cheapest I've seen it, is about $95.00.

man, you got raped. I got mine for i think 105 shipped on eBay. To mount your radio down there, you dont need any harnesses except one for an aftermarket radio.

I have a Pioneer 7300 deck cramed into mine optional consoul. I decided to dremel a little off so that the face could flip down without obstruction. Paid $120-130 shipped off ebay.

I just smashed my player in there, made me nervous to do, but it worked.
Search in the Appearance forum for ideas. There have been tons of really good threads about these consoles.

and yeah... you got ripped off.

Commonly follows someone posting that they purchased something off of PassowrdJDM. I have only bought one thing off that site and the price was nice but the shipping was way to much. Radio block off plate = $18 , shipping for radio block off plate = $12
