You should have asked this in the 88-91 civic section. The RT4WD civic was only made between 88-91. There are forums dedicated JUST to the wagovan.
www.ef-honda.com might be a good place to look.
There are lots of other forums for that wagon. Google them.
If all else fails, sell it to me. I love those cars.

Actually there was the RT-Si eg sedan and the RTi ek sedan that were RT4WD. It'd be interesting to see if he has the wagovan or one of the sedans.

I don't know a ton about these, and the others are right that there are more specific forums for these cars, but my off-the-wall answer:
I'd check/drain and fill the rear differential fluid. I know that CRVs have weird turning issues if they have old differential fluid. My CRV makes a lot of noise on turning if I don't change the fluid every year or two. I also know the 4WD Civics have a little bit different type of differential, but I think that might apply.
To do that, you want to make sure that your car is completely level. Then get under the back and remove the fill plug. Stick your finger in the fill hole. If you can touch fluid, you're at the right level, but it still might be old fluid. Then remove the drain plug, drain it, and refill it. See if your problem goes away.
If not, I suspect that you might have a more serious differential problem. But, like I said, I don't really know a ton about these.

Re: honda civic RTi 4WD Dual pumpsystem
the dual pump refers to the rear differential having 2 pumps that engage the rear axles if they are spun at different speeds. hence the front tires slip the rear engage.
the chattering is from the clutches in the differential engaging when you are turning.
changing the fluid multiple times with 200 miles between changes should eliminate the concern
