Hey my friend told me my car I rigged. The fuel rail is receiving too much gas. The rail is receiving too much gas. How can I resolve the problem how can I regulate the fuel rail. My homeboy told me it was rigged or something like that. When I turn on the car you could smell the gas when u rev the engine also.

Anyone's car will smell like gas when it's warming up, due to running rich to aid in warming up faster. If it smells like gas when it's warmed up then continue reading. Check your fuel system for leaks and get them fixed. Now get a fuel pressure guage and check your fuel pressure. If it's off then you can buy a new FPR or get an adjustable FPR for future tuning. I would also change the fuel filter as dirty one can lower fuel pressure too.

you need to list your setup up- if you are bone stock you may have a leak at the cat and which would explain the stonger than normal smell of gasoline

Give us some more information.
What year and model do you have?
Do you have the stock engine?
Do you have the stock fuel system from fuel pump all the way to the injectors?
How did he come up with the conclusion that it's "rigged" just beacause he smells gas?
How does your car run overall?
We need this type of information before anyone could help you out.

I think he is trying to say his car is running rich. Will slapping a NOS sticker on the hood take care of it.

Re: HONDA CIVIC RIGGED? YES OR NO (2.0L EK)
I know a buddy of mine just had problems with his fuel rail leaking like crazy.
It was the washer/gasket things around the injector where it goes into the mani. They were ripped in half somehow. Just old I guess.

Re: HONDA CIVIC RIGGED? YES OR NO (kos99ngel)
Ok, your friend told you your car you rigged? Why did you rigged your car? Both the fuel rail and the rail are receiving too much gas? How'd your rigged your car like your friend said you did? You can resolve your problem regulate you fuel rail by checking for leaks, maybe testing you fuel regulator your fuel rail. If your friend told you you rigged your car then wouldn't that explain why it rigged? And if you rigged it, shouldn't you know how you rigged your car your fuel rail rail regulator too much gas? Your welcome.
