Re: HOMEMADE ITR VALVECOVER (Revolution2zz)
you use 1 Can VHT Wrinkle Plus High Temp Coating RED SP-204...that's very close to the ITR valve cover color.
My eyes might be tricking me, but are the CTR valve covers much more orange than the ITRs? i'm just wondering.
sorry to steal the pic

pretty much the sale technique here...i just took WAY too much time prepping. no one believed that i did it on my own
i held it next to my friends itr and the color is almost identical... to VHT. i also did my upper bar and it also cam out pretty nice.

So how chip resistant is this paint? I have my metal D series cover, and I was thinking about just polishing it.
This looks really nice, and I've been interested in doing it with all the pics of peoples covers, but if I have to do it every couple of years, I'll just go with the polish instead.

Re: (EX_AutoXer)
well i no longer own the car but for the 6 months or so of having the cover painted i had no problems what so ever. i think the key is letting it cure for a good amount of time. i kept mine off the car for about a week and a half...during that time i hit it with a heat gun every day.
