Default Higher compression on d16y8 what pistons?

hey guys, im looking to run some more compression right now im stock at 9:6:1 from what i have found, i would like to bump it up somewhere in the 10's, any suggestions on pistons, i have read that the a6 pistons would give me 11:1 but is that a little too much, i still cant find any info on what zc pistons would give me, thanx

Ha, I was gonna say get some 1st gen 'teg pistons (a6) but I see you already went there.

Though a6 pistons will only give you 10.2:1 - I'd go there...

Not sure exactly how u got 11:1 :-\.

thats why im asking, i was searching the internet, see i dont even know if i have the correct figures, i want to stay in the 10:'s for the CR, so the a6 pistons would do the job? im not milling the head or anything, stock d16y8 head (stock gasket) with a zex 105300 cam

EDITED AWAY.

PM6's (A6) for the 10.16
PM6 + duel layer Y8 will give you a 10.45
P29's (A1) will give you a 13
PM3's (D15B7) will give you that 11:1 you found.

Here's the link to the 2 calculators:
http://www.c-speedracing.com/h...c.php

Or

http://www.knology.net/~jediklc/dcalc.htm

This one backs it up by saying the pm6's are the A6 pistons (not the P29's and with the pm6's you'll run a 10.3 CR.
http://www.zealautowerks.com/dseries.html

That's what I'd believe. PM6's plus a duel layer headgasket (y8) ftmfw.

It's the p29 pistons (from the a1) that yield that crazy 13:1 CR. The PM6's from the A6 will indeed give you a 10.2:1 CR.

Damn, I made that about 50 times more difficult than it had to be.

50,000 errors on my part.

Sorry.

End result:
A6 pistons for a 10.2CR.

The PM3's (D15B7) will give you your 11:1 CR.

Sorry about all that confusion....

Blah at me.
