High Idle Help!!! JDM B16
Swapped a JDM B16 in my 92 EG8.....
Car is idling very high.....
I can touch the throttle and slightly push it to the right and it seems to slow the idle but as soon as i take the light pressure off of it and its sitting back in normal position it goes back to a very high idle....
Any help on what this could be?
I believe i am wording all of this correct...

Does it stay high, or is it only when starting? It is common for carbon to build up on the Idle Air Control Valve and have it get stuck open.
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/car-idle-high-3025129/ is a thread on this issue. It sounds like you have a little too much air going into the system, which would happen if it the IACV was stuck open.
My idle was also high from the engine coolant temp sensor was giving a really low temp read-out, but that is not very common.

I would definitley recommend that you give your IACV a good cleaning. There are some u-tube videos and good write-ups. All you need are the basic tools, and a can of carb cleaner.
