would the "9006 High-Beam Bulbs in Low-Beam Sockets" mod, that many integras have, work on 2000 civic si? thanks

No, it's not possible with the stock headlight housings. Your car only uses HB2/9003 aka H4, which is a dual filament bulb (low beam and high beam filament are in one single capsule).

Even if you have a car that uses 9006/9005, the beam pattern from a 9005 that is modified to fit in a 9006 housing will be off. That 9006 bulb has a bulb cap for a good reason. Engineers with more expertise than you, I and most everyone else did not design low beams to use a 9005 bulb, and they do not recommend the mod.
