HID headlights died.. HELP!!
i accidentally left my lights on for about 2 hours, and now they won't work or come back on anymore.. could it be the fuse or is the ballast or whatever shot? i'm thinking about re-ordering new ones soon, but i have to make sure they are really broken.. thanks!

Re: HID headlights died.. HELP!!
I had this same problem on my 03 cobra. I bought a set of cheap HID's and the Ballast kept going out. Is it a hi/low beem kit? If so its prob. the small black box that controls the Hi/Low function. You could try to wire it up without that box if so. Other wise always keep some stock bulbs in your glovebox cause I replaced 4 Ballast in a year before I ripped my HID's out. Hope this helps.

yeah thanks.. but it's not a hi/low beam kit.. it's just a low beam only kit.. i don't know if it's the ballast that's wrong and just order that only, or if it's the headlight fuse, but the corners still work.. or if it's just the bulbs itself.. i might just end up ordering a whole new kit since it's only $35 on ebay.. but thanks!

What kit is it? If you bought it from ebay there is your problem. NEVER I mean NEVER buy HID's from eBay.
There is no reason to ever order those peices of ****! Half the time they come DOA. Bulbs and ballasts die all the time. When it comes from them to honor the warranty the claim they are no where to be found.
If you have to HID's look into DDM tuning. They offer the only quality kit, for cheap.
That or perform a retro fit, it's the only way to have proper beam patterns, and not blind every other person on the road.

^^ +1 on NOT buying ebay HIDs. No point wasting your money when you will spend more time trying to get them warrantied than getting usage out of them.

Re: HID headlights died.. HELP!!
I bought some shitty HID foglight kit from Ebay as well, and I think one of my bulbs went out.
Would I need a new hid kit or could I get a bulb replacement from DDMtuning?

If not, would that mean the ballasts are bad? Is there a way to test them?

Re: HID headlights died.. HELP!!
I think I paid $70 with second day shipping or something like that. I bought them a while ago, and don't really remember. lol
For a plug and play, ddm is the best for the money.
A retro fit is when you take projectors out of a car with factory HID's. ( let's say a TSX) and then put them into your current headlights. This is the ONLY proper way to have HID's in our types of cars.
Keep in mind, they still are not 100% legal, But ALL PNP kit's are illegal.
