Hi I am new here
Hi I am 92 civic EG6 VX driver, I love these little cars & always will. I will jump right into my first ?'s. I have the original vtec-e in my car I am not totally unpleased with it. I have surprised more than a few Mini van Mom draggers when I leave it in second gear pass their my time is more important than yours & am looking to get in front of you attitudes. That is not really something to brag about beating minivans though.
I am looking to switch in a D15b sohc vtec engine & tran.. Tiger Japanese auto parts LTD. Seems to have the best price. Has anyone dealt with them? Are they good? I understand the d15z1 is like the d15b vtec with engine only differences. What besides the engine & tran. will I need? Will my current ecu work? I am pretty sure the axles will be the same.
Thanks & looking forward to the answers. =

Welcome to HT man.....your first lesson "SEARCH".
But to answer your Q you will need a p28 chipped with p08 maps or atleast a p28 ecu to run you D15B Vtec. As for tranny i would get the tranny that comes with the D15B Vtec that has a LSD tranny.
