Default Hey, new here--Got some ?'s for you boys...

Well for starters, hi I'm Ashleigh..I'm 19 my bday next week blah blah blah I live in Las Vegas and yeah...

Anyhoo, I have a 93 automatic SOHC VTEC Si delSol and was wondering what was up with my tranny...Just last week it decided to stop shifting out of 2nd and for the first 10 minutes of driving I'd be doing 45 @ 4500ish and then it would make a strange noise and would function normally afterwards. Then, my reverse just ate ****. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. This is also a recent development in my transmission problems. Either it won't work at all and I have to push my car outta the damned driveway or it makes this horrible grinding noise and sometimes will catch the gear and just shoot out of the driveway. Really more than anything, my car is a pain in the ***.

Friday, I should have my new car...It's a 95 CX Hatch, and I was wondering how much hp n stuff it has stock and then how much it would have with a vtec head on it and all that...

So please get back to me! Thx...

<3

First, your auto tranny is shot. Secondly, a stock CX hatch has like 70 hp. It's going to be slower than molasses. With a mini me swap you can have anywhere from 120-130 hp. A z6 or y8 tranny will help your 1/4 mile time drastically.

also if you are going to keep you del sol you can swap out the motor and put it in you cx. Just get a ex/si tranny and you will be set. Then comes the big decsion of what you want from the motor. If you are not going to keep the sol then just do a mini me. Just ask "bauley civic'' (i belive) and he will help you out. Welcome to HT.

cx has a 106hp .. no power steering or ac .. your better off saving for a b18b then throwing a vtec head on that thing.. i would go with an ls turbo.. we are bout to swap a b16 into my friends cx.. my opinion is that the cx motor was a waste of metal.. swap that thing out of there ASAP .. but thats only my 2 cents

I'm thinking not a dude in this case , but let's chill on the leg humping huh folks?

But back on topic, yeah, my advice is:

-rock the new hatch
-EX/Si tranny swap
- mini me head swap
-lovin' life

Hi Miss Lady, whatcha drive? I'll be sure to stick around ya so I'm not the only one getting humped here.

So, anyone, is it 16 or 8 valve orrrr...?

And another thing, with the difference in deck height, does that make it half a tooth off? Ya know, cuz thats what I was told.
