hey guys please help me out !!!!!
ok i got an 95 ex swap i have 4-2-1 headers, cold air, 12pd flywheel, clutch, fpr,exhaustetc.
here is the hting i got smoked by an 91 hatch with an 91 ls motor, and my buddies 98 teg was pulling on me bad too, my car looses allit's power on top end what is wrong ?????? also my gears are 30, 65,100,??????? i thin i have a diff. tranny than the ex please help

what i'm saying basically is that when my dx motor was in races were bout the same lol what is wrong could the fpr set wrong or something?////

here is the low down wheni raced my buddy i had an dx with everythgin except the flywheel and clutch he used to pull on me in 4th, now i have the ex motor and the race is the same i dunno what is wrong?????

i noticed a weird valve tap today like comes and goes away any ideas plus my car barely chirps second now it used to spin it ???

Perhaps, it could be a broken exhaust valve or intake valve inside your cylinder head? Not sure I could be wrong. If I am please correct me.

Do a compression check on the cylinders and see if they are in good shape. Also check all your vacuum lines and wiring harness. Are you throwing any CEL codes?? What ECU do you have in there. You're gonna basically run the same if you still are running that DX ECU.

i have the ex ecu and how do i do a compression check ?
my car throws a code when it's hot out an i beat it for some reason

Check and see what the code is and to check your compression you need a tester and goes onto your spark plug w/ a pressure guage on the other end(In laymens terms). Crank the car but don't start it on every cylinder and the motor should have a consistent reading. If there is a 15% change in cylinder #s then you know you have something wrong in that cylinder where you're losing compression.

found out the tap sound is my alternator pulley lol changed o2 car seems to run better now too. but with the tranny checked soem websites and the ex tranny in an 4 dr has longer gears i think t hat is what they gave me here are the ratios , 2 dr ex 3.25, 1.9, 1.25, .909, .702, here are the 4 dr ones, 3.25, 1.752, 1.172, -, - the gearing is diff, can anyone find out what mph are for those 4 dr and the 2 please
