Sorry as I'm writing this on my phone but been trying to fix this baby for a friend who will sell her to me with only 128,000 miles on her but the previous owner has chopped and messed up this wiring so any help I and him would appreciate it!

I going to assume he tried to upload a pic of the wiring in the car and it did not work and needs help. He also Indirectly asked a question, " the previous owner has chopped and messed up this wiring so any help I and him would appreciate it!". Basically, in more proper English he is asking "Hello, i want to purchase this 2000 Si Honda and it has some wires that have been tampered with. I would enjoy it if you guys can tell me what i can do to fix this?" Does this help you Jbpnoman, no hate/being a dick intended. Just clarifying

And how does that help when he doesn't specify what wiring he's talking about? There's wiring everywhere.

Like i said, i'm going to go on a limb with this and say he is not familiar with uploading pic's to this site. I'm pretty sure in the pics you will be able to see where the wiring is. It can be anything from Spark plugs wiring to the wiring of a Dash Harness. He must need help uploading the pics i'm guessing. We can't assume everyone is very educated in this site and know every single detail about it.

The first pic is of a rat's nest of wiring under the dash. The second pic is of what looks like clean, unmolested ignition wiring. That doesn't change the fact that we have absolutely no clue what the actual problem is.

1st pics looks like a poor audio install since that box says Alpine. I would look to see if the back of headunit has same colored wiring and go from there.

2nd pic doesnt show me anything.

Hey guys sorry for the late reply I was rushing what I wrote to pre-read it. Ok the vehicle will not crank over when the key is in the ign. However, it will start with the remote start system which im trying to determine whether its the ign switch or not. Any help I would take any help needed as to any tip I could use.

Second I did not know if that was a door lock module or not the last honda I owned was in 2007 a crx after that ive really have not messed with car since my daughter was born. He was telling me that there were wires all over the place and he has tried to clean up all the mess that was made.

Again I do apologize for the crappy thread ill do better I promise! Trying to get this em1 started and im buying her as a rebuild.

From the records this vehicle has it shows its been in a wreck on the driver side and that it has the orginal b16 in it but I cannot confirm as she needs a lot of tlc and a good engine wash to see the real mess I want to get into. But I will want to keep her as stock as possible as my daily driver

Lol no I should have used photobucket to upload the pictures not dropbox they suck...lesson learned. Ive had a few vehicles but being honest im not the all out greatest on electrical issues so I thought I should ask before bringing her someone and get ripped off.

Yeah i had a feeling you where having a problem with the pictures. Trust me it's normal on H-T to have that ONE or TWO dicks that will dick ride every single rule to try and show some "Authority" over another. It's normal, but try changing the ignition switch. You said it's not cranking but it WILL start with a remote start? More then likely it's the ignition switch.
