....damm id say you f_uckkd..lol...... ummmm idk probably nothing u can really do. I would say you have to the hole tapped to next the biggersize. go to a mechanic shop and ask how much to tap them.

.......easier said then done......I suggested mechanic incase he doesn't know how to do it him self.........guys should give him a little insight.don't want him to go drill out the hole with a 1" drill bit.

You can get those drill tap coils at Napa Auto Parts. It's better to get it fixed because you do not want to be driving around risking your safety.

Its called a heli coil take the bolt you want to the parts store and get a kit that will work with your bolt, then you follow the instructions in the kit. It will come with the right drill bit and tap then you thread the heli coil in and you have a new thread. They come in a kit that is not cheap but man are they nice to have around.

Those heli coils can be lifesavers in some situations where the last person working on the car did not know WTF they were doing.

i read with timesert and heli coils you can use the same size bolt as long as you use the right kit

Trust me, a rim falling over is the last thing you would be worried about. Image if it f*cks up when you are rollin' down the highway doin 60MPH+.

Yeah, took it to a body shop that was across the street for where I was working. I forget what it cost me, since it was a while ago, I am thinking it was like $100 or so. They cut a section out in the trunk to get access to the insert behind the wheel well and changed out the insert.
I already had the interior removed from the back of the car.

drill that sob out.
tap it out to the new thread size
put some lock-tite on the helicoil and put it in according to the directions.
now your hole is back to the factory thread size.
sooo easy.

sorry idk what the torque specs are... all i know is you can get them about as tight as you need to with a ratchet... DO NOT use air tools or you will be in this situation again.
