question is what wiring harness? what ecu? will a tranny from a 98 ex work? If anyone can help thanks..

Agreed this is going to be alot of work. . . Just trade someone on here for an Auto i'm sure they wont mind or just sell your car and buy an auto if you look hard enough you could make money of that deal

I am not sure if it is the same since you are using a 6th gen, but in my 5th gen I used the same harness to go to a manual when my car was an auto.

It could very easily take the same harness. The ECU can be converted to work with auto I would assume. I had mine converted to manual, while it was also being chipped for use with peak/hold 450cc injectors.

I am not 100% sure but I would say about 85%

since you got a whole AUTO car like you said, then that solves the whole problem..let the wifey drive that one...BOOM! problems solved..

Nope i dont think that it will work,
98=obd2a
00=obd2b
I dont think that the 2 harness will match. not to mention if you are in california, you will not pass inspection because you will have the wrong ecu in the car, abd2a ecu in an obd2b car.
