help with the vss
I picked up a civic over the weekend, CX, and the speedo doesn't work.
Hears the catch, I'm running a LS ecu because the stock one is fried. So, if i put the stock ecu back in, will the speedo work? Or is the VSS mostlikely shot? The previous owner said it worked before when he drove it on the stock ecu, and then the ecu died. I'm only running it on the LS ecu so i can move it around. Yeah it runs like shiz, but it moves.

Re: help with the vss (sony224422)
why dont you put in the stock ecu then go from there. if it works then okay if not check your vss if it has a good connection. if yes then the cluster is bad or some wiring to the cluster

Re: help with the vss (fmrprojects)
cus the stock ecu is shot. I just plugged it in and the car just lags and stalls. it purs with the LS in it, so hopefully its just a bad ecu and not sensors on the engine.
but i pulled the plug off the vss and it wasn't rusty and there was no water in there. i put it back on as tight as i could.
