arghhh. i bought H&R race spring for my ek hatch and it slammed it. my tires rub all the time and when i turn. we are not talking about a high speed turn, im talking about making a turn slowly in a parking lot. any way i can fix this? i know most will say get coilovers or get new springs. just looking for some opinions. i have 16" rims by the way (205/45/16 tires).

i have h&r race with tokico illuminas. what about coil spacers? smaller tire (205/40/16 instead of my current 45)? maybe smaller rims like 15s?

rolling my front fenders wouldnt do much. i was looking at where it left rub marks on the fender liner and even if i did roll them, it might still rub. i know there is a place above the tire that rubs along with the sides of the tire.

do you rub on the actual fender itself? because i wouldnt worry too much about small amounts of rubbing on the plastic inner fender cover. i rub my 14"s on my fenders but its worth the slammed look.

i rub the plastic inner fender shield. the plastic clip at the top most part of the fender arch is all messed up.

If i were you i wouldn't worry about it.

Its nothing. You can live without that plastic.

I also just removed my plastic. Well it feel off many different times from different areas. But anyways, it shouldn't big deal to remove it, but some might argue differently. If it is still rubbing, I'd suggest smaller tires.

that'd be my guess too, or maybe too much camber correction???

i have 205/45/16 tires with rotas. offset is 42 i THINK. not sure. no camber kit because that would make it worse.

how would you describe a rust prone area?

i want to take off the plastic lining, but im scared the tire will rub on the metal fender lip or the edge of metal that sticks down from above the center of the tire. if i remove the plastic, then it will scrape the metal. will the wheel travel high enough to hit that? will taking out the plastic fender lining cause rust or extra dirt in the engine bay? any negative side effects to removing it?

Just go ahead and take the plastic out. Do you honestly think that this peice of plastic is keeping you from rubbing on the metal clip? No. If i think its the clip your talking about (right on the edge of the fender) You can just bend it up and that shoudl stop you from rubbing on it. With the fender lining out, it wont cause anymore dirt inside your engine bay, but you will cause more dirt inside of your wheel wells, and in the door cracks. It really isnt that big of a deal, in my opinon atleast.

well, i would guess it would be annoying as hell for one..
i like a nice quite ride when im driving.. other than the sound of the engine and exhaust

Do you have rear camber kits? If you do then you might want to get shorter LCAs like the SPC since they give you more clearance. You should be alright with the 16s but use 40 offset. Goodluck.
