no...why does it matter what anybody else thinks...when you're racing, you don't(or shouldn't) even have the passenger seat in there anyways...but it's deffinately 10 times better looking with both..IMO

i dont see the point in a passenger racing seat unless you want to lower your weight or for looks. i only have the drivers seat and thats how i want to keep it. my car is built around the driver, not the damn passenger!

my friends (who arent into cars always say that once i get the matching passenger seat that i will be set and it will be NIIIIICE.

after i told him they said this, someone on HT told me to get new friends! HAHA

if your racing it ok, i do think that it look cleaner to have both in for daily driving, but on the other hand, why would you have racing seats for daily driving?

exactly, there's no need to spend however much money you need to to have 2 racing seats..unless you're a rally driver and need a co-driver! Spend the money elsewhere, shoot, get some ITR buckets for the daily or something!!

if its a full interior car.. i'd put 2 race seats in the front.. because i usually have a navigator.. aka.. passanger with me.. even when i'm racing.. but if its like a full gutted street or just strip car.. 1 seat.. and a roll cage..

One isnt rice... it is if you have a seat belt cover to go with it

There's nothing wrong with two, it's called a 13 sec civic that still a DAILY DRIVER, and if you guys have chicks, they need somewhere to sit because you can't ALWAYS drive with her on your lap especially fast

I say no.
A) you did it cuz you just wanted to reduce weight
B) you did it cuz you didn't have enough for the other

this is my car but for sure whit out the altezzas . thats a 5 or 6 months ago pic... i removed them like 3 months ago and they went immediatly to the trash.

it will have it`s surgery like in a month already have all the parts but waiting for the christmas vacations...

it`s an all motor frankenstein swap.... going for high 12`s... but any way now it has an d16z6 doing 15.34 @89 mph with simple bolt on mods and some home made tricks...

it`s a daily use car and of course it visit the track like twice a month...

If you have to ask if it is ricey, most likey it is.

In your car, drag or autocross, driver seat, duh. Autocross w/ partner? Then passenger as well. For their safety.

A lot people use aftermarket bucket seats to lessen the weight for drag.

Like emerica said, it shouldnt matter what other people think, just go with what works for you. "Rice" is just a term used by many tp express their dislike in somone else's style. So dont worry about what eveyone is saying, because rice or not; its about you!

peace,
chazz

Hey, ya ever go to a track school and have an INSTRUCTOR ride with you? Well they will usually let you push the limits of your car ONLY if the instructor has the same protections (seat/harness) as the driver. That is even common courtesy if you think about it. Yes I have two sparcos in my Hatchy hatch because I want to be able to push the cars limits WHILE an instructor is in the car so I can LEARN THINGS! faster than without an instructor.

I guess you need to be humble enough to know you can always drive better if you have an instructor ride with you and give you feedback and tips to try out. So, it is NOT rice to have two racing seats, it is not rice to have one racing seat. It is ricey to have a racing seat and never go track racing or autocrossing! Especially if you have your racing seat covered in VINYL like some I had sen at car shows... how stupid is that ? !

Pics below of Roadrace school at LimeRock =

i guess around here its all about function not looks
so 2 race seats would be rice
however

2 race seats looks much cleaner than just 1 with a stock passenger seat

no its not ricey, having racing seats and you race isn't rice, ricers normally don't race because there going for the stickers and body kit crap and don't have nothing under the hood, i don't think your like that so no racing seats are to help your comfort and driving taking fast corners and having fun, i think two look better but whatever money you have dude, good luck
