help with rear hub 96 hatch
just replaced my driver rear hub last night.
took off the cap, bent the nut so i could remove it, took it off with my impact gun, lubed up the new hub with the wheel bearing grease, installed the new one, torqued down nut, and it STILL shakes and makes noise....im lost is there something im missing

sounds like its not on all the way or its the wrong one..or maybe its not ur bearing..maybe u have a bad bushing or sumthin in the rear

brakes would not make the wheel on a hub shake. brakes are still have lots of life and function perfectly.....its only on the driver side
if you take apart the entire assembly the trailing arm drum assembly the hub goes onto that axle looking piece and you tighten the axle nut on.....
ill have to take a look at it more but
not brakes, is it the wrong one( i hope not i had to order the non ABS rear hub for 96-00) so it better not be

all you have to do is go to pep boys and they have press and they will take it right out for you for like $35 i believe, i did it for my eg you can also make a "make shift" press using a jack and stacking something on top of the jack and jacking it up so that when it moves up it pushes out just the wheel bearing....and then you hammer in the new one with a rubber hammer, i would just take it to pep boys though......

ok that has nothing to deal with why this thread was made
anyone have any similar problems of why the hub would shake, its torqued in correctly with correct non abs hub and with plenty of wheel bearing grease to lubricate....
