Default Help: Putting a 97 GSR complete motor into 97' EK civic/ Need help for crank angle sensor at pulley

Help: Putting a 97 GSR complete motor into 97' EK civic/ Need help for crank angle sensor at pulley. I'm using the dx engine harness and the crank angle sensor at the crank pulley is a 2 pin connector on the 97' GSR motor. The 97' dx harness has a 3 pin plug. So i'm not sure what wires to use? can anyone help me out?

What ECU are you going to use? If you are converting to OBD1 then you wont need it i believe, I know you wont need it if it is a p28, not sure about p72.

u just need b series axles, b series front tranny bracket and 99-00 Si rear engine bracket, also you need the drivers side bracket that mounts on the engine from an Si because the gsr one has 3 bolts for it to mount and the Si has 2 so it wont fit.

I just did the same swap into my 97 ek

gsr into ek using the dx engine harness.

What I did was chop the 2 pin plug off the harness that came with the motor and soldered it on to the DX harness. You just match the colors up and forget about the 3rd wire. It should run perfectly fine..

Remeber you have to extend those wires tooo...
