Re: (paranoiattack91)
check all your fluids, not just the engine oil. unless I am mistaken, isnt the light that comes on attached to your brake reservoir too? Not 100% postive on that, but I think it is. I had a similiar prob, the light would only come on during accel., my brake fluid was low because of a leak I had from a brake swap.

Re: (fmrprojects)
The oil light comes on due to a lack of oil pressure, nothing else. If it comes on cause you're low on brake fluid, you've got some wires swapped...
1. The oil pickup could be clogged.
2. pump is going **** up.
3. Dented oil pan has interfered w/oil pickup.
4. you're lacking oil.
I'd certainly stop driving the car till you figure it out though...

If the oil pressure warning light stays on with the engine running, check the engine oil level.
If that's fine, then get an oil pressure gauge tester. Remove the oil pressure switch and install the oil pressure gauge.
Start the engine, allow to go to normal operating temp, and check the gauge.
You should be having MINIMUM 10 psi at idle, and MINIMUM 50 psi at 3,000 RPM or above.
HTH.

Oil pump or a serious leak, yeah.
