Re: help needed car doesn't start (Bartman201)
It could be a lot of things. Bad spark plugs, wires, & distributor could also make the car won't start. Few days ago, a friend of mine with an Integra had that same problem. Turned out the distributor was bad. He replaced it & problem solved.
Another thing, if your gas is really low & your parked the car on a steep hill, that also could be the cause on why the engine won't start.

Just so you know in the future, if your starter won't spin you can try having a friend turn the ignition to start while you smack the starter with something like a hammer or your tire iron. Usually you'll get a few more starts out of it and then you'd know for sure it was your starter.
Good luck

Re: (coquitlamEG)
make sure your battery is good, if it has a shorted cell it can have enough power to power accessories and not enough to start the car. Get a multitester and make sure it has about 12 volts

Nope, it’s raining outside. I got the old one and i hooked up to the battery and it was stuck at first but i cranked it like 10 times and then it worked, so I’m going to clean it and ill reinstall the old one to see if it works. if it does ill used it till it ***** up again and ill keep the new one in my trunk.

have you tried using some sort of test light to make sure you're getting power to the starter?

Re: (Bartman201)
the bolt for the tranny side is actually closer to the front of the car... should be about directly under the sharp bend in the upper radiator hose
