Default HELP!!! minor accident with curb! (*UPDATED PICS INSIDE*)

*UPDATED PICS!*

Today i was coming home from work and it was snowing pretty hard and i was going downhill and was taking an exit-like turn onto a street when it got slippery and i hit the curb... when i got to a safe place i looked at my wheel and tire and it straight but PUSHED BACK like 3 inches so it was rubbing like crazy and there was a small whole in my tire where air was leaking out of... luckily i was 5 min. away from my house but now i have a very scrathed up rim, popped tire, and worst of all my whole braking and suspension system seems to be bent/pushed back a few inches... i would have looked at it more throughly to see if anything is broken or bent but it got dark and i am in -15 degrees of cold weather...

PSAny COMMENTS or ADVICE would be very appreciated thank you very much in advance - Ramiro (will post pics if it will help?)

sounds like some bent suspension pieces. sorry to hear, it sucks to see something you worked so hard on get messed up so easily. but dont think of it as a setback think of it as an opportunitty to upgrade post some pics up of the wheel and suspension

anyone know what suspension piece's might have been affected by this???.. that would really help

PS i was going downhill at about 15-20mph if i would have gone straight over the curb i might have been able to avoid this but i would have been stuck in a huge pile of snow

I was looking at a picture of my front suspension trying to figure out what would cause your wheel to be pulled back so far. from the looks of it i think it would probably be the front lower control arm or axel? a pic would probably help. sux dude. if we need any help give me a ring

here is a quick pic, the wheel is turned but you get the idea if it was straight...

PS if i would of had an axle or tierod go out on me from that wouldnt my drive home been more difficult?? what does a civic drive like with a broken/bent tierod or axle??? just trying to think positive

with out an axle it wouldnt go unless you had an lsd so it shouldnt be the axle and the tie rod you probably wouldnt have been able to steer(or it would have been very difficult) so im saying a arms but ther eis a chace the tie rod can be bent and not broken allowing you to still steer

HOLY **** that is more than a few inches pushed back. Does the tire touch the fender? I think you may need to replace everything that got pushed or bented.

thats funny, my friends castle nut came off of the bottom of the pass. side spindle while he was making a turn, and the result was the same as yours. He ended up needing a new lower ball joint on his spindle, a new axle, a new steering rack, and god knows what else. needless to say, it was a mess. goodluck on your repairs.

I just fixed the same problem on my Integra. My ex gf hit a curb which destroyed the rim, lower control arm, swaybar endlink, and snapped the axle. It took me less than 2 hours to fix it. I got all the parts (excluding the axle) for $55 shipped from import auto salvage.

Here's a pic of the damage.

same thing happened to me about two weeks ago and i thought it was the upper ball joint or the axle but it wasnt it was the trailing arm and control arm that were bent and i only found this out after i changed the axle.
