help me lower my ets
It gets to me that eg hatchbacks are hitting 15s with light mods. I have a civic ex coupe and i barely hit low 16s and want to hit 15s. I have cai/h/p/exhaust and a fpr to be installed soon. What other mods can i add other than a turbo or nos. Maybe a aftermarket ignition or a vafc, etc. My last reaction is .746 is this bad. Well let me know what u think.

reaction time has nothing to do with ur ET. Lower your 60fts (starts). This can be done by getting better tires, or just launching at a different RPM. On street tires...a good 60ft is 2.1 or 2.2sec.

Launching is the key Practice getting off the line with as little or no tire spin as possible without bogging out... If you running street tires(tires with tread) Don't going into the water box to spin your tires, drive around it, and spin your tire on a dry surface, sometimes if you don't heat your tires all the way up the water gets into the tread and when your staging on the line it all settles on the ground and your sitting in a puddle when you try to launch...
Tire pressure, well I don't know what tires your running but try lowering your pressure to about 80% of what you normally drive on..
Suspention plays a big part in your 60ft times, all the power in the world and a bad suspention setup and your still going to have a slow car.... I've had good results with a hard rear setting(also a little highter then the front)
I hope this was helpful, keep us updated

one thing that i learned is not to put the peddle to the ground when the light turns green. Feather the peddle untill you reach high rpms. also dont just drop the clutch when you launch. ease off of it.

For launching it really depends on your car/clutch/driving skill. I dont go to the track, but for me on street I launch at 42-4.6... anything more than that and i either spin or bounce.

Get some better tires, or even slicks. This is a great way of getting your 60' foot times down, and your quarter mile time over. But to be honest, its going to be hard to do much better in your car, get a swap, or turbo the d, either way, look into saving up some money if you want your car to be faster then 15's.
