Default help me choose.

Im posting this for my sister. She is debating on which car to buy, and would like your guys input on this. I test drove the Ex, and the clutch pedal felt real soft is this how the civic pedal is supposed to feel? Also 4th gear felt real weak. I havent had a chance to drive the dx. Which car would u guys choose?

Ex has more HP and VTEC, and many more options. Is she looking to mod it?

well if she's not planning on doing any mods, i'd go with the EX. better price, plus you get some goodies that DX doesn't have (VTEC, power windows, sun-roof, etc.)

I would go with the 99 EX unless she really doesnt care about having power windows, locks, sunroof, and VTEC. The EX enigne is not fast at all, fourth and fifth gears are slow but the DX engine will be even slower.
Civic clutches are very soft compared to other cars so that is normal. $11,000 sounds pretty good. I think dealers here are selling them for about $13,000.

For a girl, I'd go with all of the options, but try do find a different EX. My sister just bought a 99 silver auto EX for 10.9 with really low millage (from another girl). Try shopping around a little more.

Hey guys. Well I have a 2000 EX, which has more pickup than the other trims (my bro has a DX). I rather like my car (not as fast as I would like) and yes, 4th is weak, but 1st and 2nd are good. Go for the EX.
