SW20 MR2

I have a 96 CX hatch with a JDM B18C (OBDI if it makes a difference) motor using the stock manifold (upper and lower section). I will be picking up a Mugen Twin Loop catback exhaust for the EK9. Is there a cat/test pipe that I can buy so that everything just bolts right up to my stock exhaust manifold? Any help would be appreciated.

use the Mugen TL... get a 99-00 Si header..NOT 4-1... use a GSR straight pipe or cat...

you'll get more out of a jdm 4-1 header (or dc, mugen, spoon etc.) with a straight test pipe or any high flow cat for that matter, with a 2.5" collector. the TL catback should bolt right up. that's my setup at least..

I don't really have the money to buy a header and 2.5" cat/test pipe right now. I'm not sure if I'm gonna be modding the car much more. I'm just buying the exhaust cause I got a really good deal on it. Is the JDM B18C1 stock manifold not the same length as a 99-00 Si header? Is there any stock cat that will bolt on to both the MTL and my stock manifold (ie. GS-R cat, Si cat, etc.).

yeah.. the cats are the same length. what matters i guess is if you have a second o2 on the cat.

stock gsr header is NOT the same length as a 99-00 Si stock header.
