I think my car hydro lock but not sure. I have an intake but it's not CAI. I was driving in the rain on the free way going 80mph. I switched lanes and the next thing i hear is cluck cluck and my motor cut me off when i try to downshift to 3rd at 5.5k. i started it up this morning and it sounded like my head is messed up and i checked my dip stick there seems to be metal in it. Any suggestions on trying to fix it or just get a new motor?

if its a sohc then just buy another b/c there cheap

do an oil change and look at the oil. the good metal chunks (if any) would be on the bottom

how does the motor run? misfiring? any cels?

hydrolocked motor would not have started back up so quickly the next morning.

I did an oil change this morning some metal but very tiny pieces like small scrapping. It runs fine i hear my vtec at 5500 but there also a rough sound to it. My #2 rocket arm is knocking or something like that. I started it this morning right up before i changed my oil and right after i changed it.

Well at least its not hydro locked (if it was it wouldnt have started) Do you have any knocking sounds? What is making you think its the #2? Did you already pull the valve cover off?

it's either the 2nd or 3rd rocker cause all the rough noise is coming from the center of the head.
