there is no way I am going to destroy the hood or the front bumper. No there is no AC but intercooler and turbo set up dont help!

Re: help getting hood open!!! (JDM Vision)
I will give that a try but i dont think that will work. 92-95 civic has a completely different style latch compared to the ef. I have a 90 civic also and it sticks like your friends. Any body else.

Re: (alexb16hb)
Does the cable move at all when you pull on it, or does it not even budge? You could try jacking the car up, taking the bottom of the front bumper off ( the 2 bolts) and just bend it back so you could reach or atleast see the latch. The bumpers pretty damn flexable so it shouldn't break or rip or anything.

Re: (civicfast)
tried pulling the cable and pushing down on the hood. It didnt work. Looking from under neath there is a spring on the latch does any one know if it would relaease the latch if i took the spring off. Thanks

Re: (Slamaccord)
this happend to me before, with a turbo set up and intercooler, i just jacked up the car and saw where it latches on the hood and got a long screw driver and pushed loose, and bam popped it open, the cable came off the latch that pops the hood
