HELP!!! fuel pressure at 45+ with B&M guage!!
K here's the deal...i failed smog and the BAR, high NOX n CO levels...
did the USDM parts emissions stuff...ive been playing with diff. fuel pressure regulators and swapping injectors USDM n JDM..trying to see if its spits different levels...
i've swapped out 3 fuel pressure regulators...JDM, USDM. and a y8 1.6
did the various combinations with the injectors
on key turn mode - it goes up to 25-30psi...then i turn it on, thats when it goes to 40+
also after turning it off, it goes back down???? shouldnt it stay the same the whole time?
checked the fuel pump..looks stock? does the walbro have their name on the pump or could that be my problem? i bought the car a few years back..and can't remember if the car had an upgraded fuel pump...
plugs.dizzy.distributor with MSD blaster...all working...
but im still running at 40+ pressure on the gauge?
whats the normal range for fuel pressure? any suggestions or solutions
insight?
thanks

did some reading...
normal psi Fuel pressure for b16 is mid 30s..maybe 40.41.42...
if that is true then im fine..its not the fuel pressure?
im narrowing down my options
ne CAT.O2.Charcoal canister.vaccum leak.
HERES MY READINGS from the BAR: doesnt seem to be as bad as some peoples...
High HC and CO levels
idle 834rpm - "HC readings" max(100) GP(250) Measure (417):
"CO reading" - max 1.00, gp 2.50, meas .54
2500RPM = HC reading - max130.gp280. measure 128
CO reading - max 1.00 GP 2.50 MEAS 1.07
i just realized im high on HC on idle but passes on 2500rpm?
but the CO levels is ok at idle but fails at 2500rpm?
Im not a smog tech, but what does this mean exactly. he said something about not burning all my fuel..
does this give any insight?
also - sometimes my idle revs up n down...surges?
