Default Help CODE 505 on 95 GSR swap into 2000 civic

Help me i don't understand what i need to do? I have recentenly been blessed with a recipient of a new heart transplant, i just put a 95 GSR into my 00 civic ex, the problem im having is my gsr computer is not able to be read.. we have tried putting my gsr computer and getting checked by a computer but it doesn't read, i have the skunk2 converter for it, but when i put it into my stock civic computer it only reads code 505... the guy told me i have to replace my whole throttle body, a factory one. Is this true, he has the same swap in his car, and they told him 700 dollars for this chip.. thats' ridiculous, because he has the same code on his car, and he has a aftermarket throttle body, what should i do? Do i really need to buy a new throttle body, does any body else have this problem?

ok, there is no code 505, that could just be the number of a chart or something the scan tool had to diagnose.

Honda codes only go up into the 90's. OBD1 doesn't even go that high.

If you have something wrong with your idle control it could be a few things, your IAC valve on the back of you intake manifold (there is a screen in there that gets dirty sometimes) or maybe you have something on the throttle body wired wrong. There is also a screw on the TB that raises and lowers the idle based on warm up temp etc........

Down by your ecu there is a two pin connector that does not connect to anything, put a paperclip in each hole and you check engine will flash. Long = 10, short = 1, add up the numbers and thats the code your throwing. Do that and get back to us.

Yaa. so i took a look at my car, and without me needing to do the thing you mention above, the check engine light alright flashes, 2 long.. 3 quick and short one's..so what does that mean.. i read 23 equals knock sensor... however, my car doesn't knock, so what else could it be.?? im confused.

it could be this:

P0505 Idle Control System Malfunction

I got this off the ECU codes list at the top of EVERY forum.

IF they said 505 it has something to do with the IACV or FIV, something like that.

IF you looked at your ecu and got the code right then yes, 23 is knock sensor, are you sure you knock sensor is ok? Check the wire, make sure nothing looks wrong or it is frayed or something. I had a code 23 once, turned out the actual sensor was not in the block tight and the vibration of the sensor itself threw the code.
