HELP! Clutch won't engage!!!
Ok, here's the story, I'll try and make it as brief as possible while still supplying enough info.
Looose_R and I were going to help a buddy to a throwout bearing and/or clutch on his EG with a B20Z2 and and LS trannsmission. The whole process didn't take as long as even I expected, and we felt(at the time) we had covered all of our bases and made sure everything was done right. Boy were we in for a suprise.
First, I work for Honda Parts, and in the effort of a good friend I picked up the correct TO bearing and brought it over to do the job. I was informed by Acura that the correct part number was 22810-PX5-J02, this was odd to me because the B16, B18C, and even B20 transmissions use a different P/N. My question was then, does the TO Bearing get matched to the tranny? or to the motor? The reason I ask this now, is because upon finishing the job, our buddy went to leave, everything was fine, until we heard his car's RPM's in the distance(he had an open header )
At this point, we get a call, he says he went to shift into second gear, and all of a sudden, the RPM's shot up, and the car wouldn't engage the clutch(or so it seems). I sat in the car, it starts, but when you put it into gear and release the pedal, nothing happens, basically as he put it, "you can't stall the car". I feel so bad, we busted our asses to get this job done, and now something is wrong and we are totally clueless...we've already checked the TO bearing to make sure it's still connected(no play in the shift fork). It should be also known that when we pulled the old TO bearing off(which was making insane amounts of noise) it was identical to the B16/B18C/B20 TO bearing I had originally bought(but had gotten the correct one for the tranny). So this brings to mind, should we have bled the hydraulic system?
I'm stumped, if I left any info out anyone needs to know, post it up, I'll be checking all day. We REALLY need to fix this guys car, I've never encountered something like this and it really pisses me off that this would happen.

Re: HELP! Clutch won't engage!!! (PSUCRX)
I skimmed your post real quick.... but... have you checked to make sure the the axle is connected completely in the tranny? I had this happen before where it was seated perfect and I drove the car down the street and it popped out..... and i wasnt able to stall the car etc etc.. just a thought...
