Default HELP civic not starting

hey guys as you read the title my 92 civic hatch is not starting up. I have a newer ex motor which is the d16y8 motor. the car sounds like it wants to start but theres no fuel getting into the motor. when i got the car it ran but the wireing was kinda ghetto in the radio section. so i guess the problem would be a fried wirie from the radio area. i have no idea what else it could be or what to do so can someone please help me out thanx please HELP

How do you know there's no fuel? Did you test the ignition setup?

Check your main relay, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, and injectors.

make sure you have all ur grounds hooked up, if you dont have your thermostat ground hooked up you will not get fuel... this was my problem on my b18 swap

make sure that there are no wires exposed behind the radio.....i have seen where one wire (especially a remote wire) will short out your under the hood fuses....or the starter signal fuse under the dash...so check your wiring there first...then check the fuses make sure that they are ALL good...even if it doesn't seem to be related to your problem replace any fuses that are bad....if still nothing check the main relay they tend to go out as well especially in older model cars.

oh and by the way......"tyr out the sepll chcek fetaure."

Right, what exactly did he do or check?

You have to take a systematic approach to diagnosing this problem.

how does it sound? does it crank slow? or does it crank fast?

mine cranked slow, so what i did, was had the clutch and gas down to the floor and it started. i didnt start if for 4 days and 3 cold nights straight. lights all turned on, battery was low, so i replaced that anyway but still didnt start til i did the pedal trick. maybe that'll work for you too

Search for "starting" or "start," you'll find answers.

You said the car had a tachometer that was ghetto rigged? If the tach signal wire hit to ground, it could have shorted out your ignition system. Make sure your getting spark as well.

check your ignition fuse. That was my brother's problem. You can pump all the fuel in the world and crank all day. But without spark you aren't going to light that mixture off.
