Default Help on Bearings!

Took my motor apart and found out it had some scratches on the bearing. The outside not the inside. The piston broke into piece guessing lack of oil. Can I still reuse the bearing or just get new ones? They're acl bearings, the inner part looks fine but the outside got some fairly amount a scratch but not a lot. we already order a new piston. Also on the rod there seems to be some scratches on it also where the bearing sits, Do I have to get new rods also or can I just clean it up?

I had a probe that spun a rod bearing and i sanded the rod journals with 2000 grit and put new bearings and sanded the crank with 2000 grit sand paper and drove 4000 miles untill the head locked up and the block never gave problems. the crank and rod journals were scratched bad but were smooth.

I wouldn't recommend it though i was just trying to get my car back asap when i did this.
