help..
just got my whole exhaust system redone. New headers, cat, and cat-back greddy exhaust. Well i had to have an o2 sensor bung welded to the exhaust. Got that done, came back home and put it all one. I had to extend the wires on the o2 sensor.
Now the check engine light is on and don't know why? Anyone have ideas on what it can be. I allready reset the battery.

i've never had to check the code on my car. On my brothers prelude there is a place under the steering wheel that you stick a paper clip in and it blinks the code. How do you do it on the 00 civic. thanks.

You should check the codes first. (Not with the paperclip method). There is an OBD connector somewhere under the dash. Usually by the steering column. Either find a buddy with a diagnostic tool, go to a shop, or you can usually buy a cheap one at a parts store that will work for about $40-50. Once that is done, then you'll know if it is the O2 or not. Then you can start diagnosing it properly. Good luck!
make sure that u put the wires color to color. i remember when i did this and i threw a CEL. come to find out that one of the wires was hooked up wrong. after that no code.
