Default HELP!!!

I just bought a 97 civic EX with a B16 (obd1) . When I bought it it kept throwing a code . The knock sensor was not wired up, so it got wired up and now the car bogs down all through the power band. The car is undriveable its so bad. I adjusted the ignition timing and no change, replaced the fuel filter and it got a little better but still undriveable. Thats where Im at if anyone can help please do.

can you describe a little better what it is doing that makes it undriveable?
is it constantly bogging? or only bogging at certain rpm's? any more information you can think of. this is a really general thing to be looking for help at this point

the car bogs down at 2000 rpms and has no power through the entire power band. It does every time in every gear. It's undriveable because it take a mile to get up to 50 mph

did the car run fine when you bought it? as in everything was wired correctly? I would check the blue wires on the distributor first. But if you used to run fine, that wouldn't really make sense.

If it improved with a fuel filter, I would check other stuff. Run some fuel injector cleaner maybe, it sounds like it could not have been well maintained before. Who knows?
