Hello from the past - EJ news
Hi everyone, dunno who's still around since I took a break.
I'm back. I've been visiting the F1 thread for a while but also, I've picked up the 2002 Edlebrock SEMA Civic from my good friend Marauder. "Keeping it in the family"
http://www.importtuner.com/tech/0310...vic_turbo_kit/
Now here's the fun part. She's being registered in Oregon and I'm a disabled Vet so I get to register her permanently...without smog or anything annoying of the like.
So needless to say I'm thinking about some things...
Up front question, I've been away for so long. What's the primary heart of choice to stick in these things? Still the B series?

K-series, primarily a K24 bottom end with an improved head.
Also thank you for your service.

Re: Hello from the past - EJ news
thanks Doc. I'll start checking them out. Define "Improved" head? Like are we talking about taking one from a different K series?
I hate cable shifters....
EDIT: Research done...I'm sticking with the classic B series, it's what I know and what looks good to me. B20 bottom end. B16 head. Up in the air on the gearing since it'll be boost.

yeah and again I'm not a fan of cable shifters. I really like the sold feel from mechanical shifting.

I'm not a fan of the bottle because of the refill needs. Might also be a bit corrupt since I'm already turbo'd as well.
Anyway, I'm looking things over and it looks like I'm going to take my time and do it the way I want. Step 1, decide on which bottom end.

I'm digging the idea of B series build. Originally I was going to go B18C5 along with modding the 4th and 5th gears but started looking at either B18B Bottom end and slapping a B16 head or possibly B20 bottom end. Of course, I'm just building a DD around town.
